For entrance and visits to the Oasis of "Il Bottaccio", the Lucca Section of the WWF guarantees a service of guided tours every Sunday between the beginning of February and the half of May, leaving at 11.00 and 14.30.
Students and adult groups can book visits also in other periods of the year or on week days by contacting the WWF at the mail address ekomax@alice.it.
In accord with WWF Oasis regulations, educational visits are held in collaboration with teachers and are conducted by qualified personnel appointed by the WWF.
The paths that have been created cross several types of habitats and as they have raised walkways it is possible to visit the oasis in winter when the ground is normally flooded.
Educational thematic panels have been set up along the “nature trail” illustrating the flora and fauna. The area is connected to the near Gherardesca Lake.
