Traditional activities

Carta Ponte a CappianoWetlands have for centuries been a fundamental resource for man.

Besides the traditional farming activities which developed in the area (first a small holding of land, then larger and larger areas thanks to reclamation) other types of activity have always existed which are exquisitely linked to the marsh habitat. Indeed, these "typical" activities are often linked to the exploitation of natural resources and have played a fundamental role in the local and regional economy, as happened for hunting, fishing and grass gathering.
